Today was seriously one of the best days I’ve ever had.  Deric came over last night and I cooked dinner and we drank wine with his friend Matt.  We woke up this morning and had breakfast at the Alibi and then headed to the Trees of Mystery in Klamath.  It’s an old grove area that they’ve set up all these cute trails through with signs describing all the trees.  They also have a gondola that goes up through the redwood canopy to an observation deck.  We could see the canopy all the way to the ocean on one side and the snow capped mountains on the other side.  We took goofy pictures with all the silly wood  carvings they had around.  Then we started the drive back and there was a stretch of highway that had a bunch of snow so we pulled over and played in the snow.  I knocked over some kids’ snowman and we had a snowball fight.  While I’m excited to go back home and see friends and family, I am really going to miss spending time with him.  My heart has been converted from dater hater to traitor dater.  Tomorrow night we’re going to the best restaurant in town before I leave Thursday morning.  Now I have to work on a big dumb paper.  :(
